QuikTrip Announces USS Oklahoma Donation Campaign!
Customers can support crew members of new U.S. Navy submarine under construction by rounding up in-store purchases or buying commemorative challenge coins at all Oklahoma locations
TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 5, 2026) — QuikTrip (QT) today announced a month-long in-store fundraising campaign that will allow customers across Oklahoma to support the future sailors of the USS Oklahoma (SSN 802) while amplifying every contribution through a dollar-for-dollar company match.
Throughout the month of October, customers at all Oklahoma QuikTrip locations will be able to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar or make an additional donation of their choice at the checkout counter. USS Oklahoma commemorative challenge coins will also be on sale for $25, with all proceeds directed toward the fundraising effort.
Customers who make a donation or purchase a challenge coin will also receive a commemorative USS Oklahoma sticker while supplies last.
Earlier this year, the USS Oklahoma Commissioning Committee reached a major fundraising milestone by securing $1 million in donations, unlocking a matching $1 million contribution from QuikTrip and building upon the company’s initial $200,000 commitment announced in 2025.
The USS Oklahoma is a Virginia-class fast-attack submarine currently under construction and, upon completion, will join one of the most capable and technologically advanced classes of submarines in the world.
“Few things carry the Oklahoma name farther around the world than a U.S. Navy submarine. We are proud to help support the sailors who will serve aboard the USS Oklahoma and grateful to our customers for joining us in this effort,” said QuikTrip Chairman and CEO Chet Cadieux. “Together, we’re helping ensure these sailors know an entire state stands behind them.”
Funds raised through the campaign will support USS Oklahoma sailors and their families through the vessel’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Fund, which helps provide emergency travel assistance, educational opportunities and quality-of-life programs throughout a sailor’s service.
QuikTrip’s previous matching challenge has already helped generate one of the largest commissioning funds in the history of U.S. Navy submarines, building on the committee’s effort to make the USS Oklahoma a premier assignment in the fleet.
The commissioning committee’s goal is to raise a total of $3 million to establish an endowment that will fund for scholarships to benefit past and present crew members of the USS Oklahoma SSN 802 and their families.
“Every dollar raised through this campaign helps strengthen the support systems available to USS Oklahoma sailors and their families,” said USS Oklahoma Commissioning Committee Chair Rocky Goins. “QuikTrip and its customers have helped build incredible momentum, and their generosity shows these sailors that Oklahoma stands behind them before they ever report for duty.”
The USS Oklahoma’s construction is expected to be completed with christening in spring 2027 in Newport News, Virginia, followed by sea trials before the U.S. Navy’s anticipated commissioning in early 2029.
